Denville Carnival!

I went to the Denville Carnival for the first time in 3 years tonight with my best fwiend Alyssa (: she didn't really want any pictures tonight, she was in a bad mood from fighting with her boyfriend, but we managed to have a pretty good time before that. We were supposed to meet up with our other third, Sharon, but once we finally found her she was drunk so that didn't really work out haha. I ended up just watching to fireworks with my friend Eric while talking about college things, so that was nice.

Shore Run

Eric finally talked to me again, haha. He invited me on a spontaneous trip to seaside with him and nick, so I met up with them in Mendham at 11-ish last night. Eric was flirting with me the entire night, but I don't like him, so he was probably confused after I gave in and had sex with him later that night.....anyway, somehow my gps took us to Pt. Pleasant rather than Seaside, so we chilled in Burger King for an hour or so. After a bit, we decided to find a place to sleep, and ended up parking Nick's car on Egbert Street. We decided to walk along the beach for a bit, and I came up with the idea of streaking, but Nick didn't want to so it was just Eric and I running naked along the beach at 3 am haha. After five minutes or so we started walking back, and I saw Nick walking towards us....naked. So we all ran together and I made a sand angel and it was great. We just stayed up for awhile after that in Nick's car just talking about everything. They appreciated that I was so open about things that they didn't think most girls would feel so comfortable talking about, like sex and such, and I told them about Sean, so I think I got closer to both of them. The sun started to come out and we knew we weren't going to get to sleep, so we decided to drive home and stop for food on the way. I told Eric that I liked us this way, "just friends and hooking up" hahahaha he looked so pissed. But he's been slutting since we ended, and I don't need that. It would constantly be a power struggle between him and I, because I refuse to look like I'm being used. By making that comment to him, about us just being friends, I automatically "won" hehehe. Eric fell asleep after that so Nick and I were talking a lot. I wish I had noticed Nick before Eric, because Eric just sucks but Nick and I click so well. I was wearing his sweater because it was cold, and when he dropped me off, I was going to try to steal it but I felt bad so I gave it back and he said, "you were trying to steal this from me, i knew it!" and gave me this funny look and I laughed, and he kept giving me the look until I got in my car and looked back at him haha. He's just really lovely. Anyway, these are the only pictures I really have from the trip;

Greystone, Abandoned Insane Asylum

I went with Sharon, Renan, Ginger and Jimmy tonight. We wanted to go inside, but the cops came just as Sharon was going in through the window, so we had to leave Ginger in there alone as we talked to the cops haha. It was interesting, but the buildings where the lobotomy procedures and such took place were long gone, burned down. It was dark and rainy, though, so that definitely added to the spook. When the cops drove us back to our car, they also informed us that where we had parked was the community where many ex-patients of Greystone were living. Haha, whoops.

Abandoned Tracks

peter and i went back to those abandoned railroad tracks he took me to in february and took pictures and such, and then he let me cry to him about my dad for awhile haha.

Monmouth University

my sister finally invited me back to her school for another party! i went to my first bar, haha. it was all a bit insane, but i met a lot of her friends which was nice, and got to spend time with/get closer to her, which was even better. lauren and i were together on our own most of the time, so we got a bit closer too.

Camp Sussex Round Dos.

Went back with Emma and Cat today. Although we had already see most of it our first trip the other day, we did get to check out the buildings across the street this time, have a picnic, get a bunch of books and a poster, and just fool around in general. It was a much nicer time than our first trip was, in my opinion. Not to mention, cat/emma and i are just such a cute group (hehe)

we were also questioned by two older men as we left the auditorium, and told them that we were photographing abandoned buildings for emma's AP art class/portfolio. she was so nervous she forgot the name of our school when he asked, hahaha. he told us to remember camp sussex as a place of life, though, not as just an abandoned building. after all, it's only been empty for the past 6 years or so. they're trying to find something to do with it, because they don't want it to just sit there without a purpose, but the town will only allow that property to go to recreational use. we'll see what the future holds.

Camp Sussex

went to camp sussex today up by vernon. after looking at the pictures online and comparing them to what we saw today, people really trashed the place after it was abandoned. it's a shame, but it definitely added to the weird vibe. i'd be interested to know what it would be like at night. we're going back on friday, though, to check out at the laundry house and some other things we missed, and just take a closer look in general. we're going to picnic there, too, so that's something else we can cross off our bucket list c:
